Mining Truck

This mining truck is used to haul tremendous loads of material across rough terrain and roads at a mine site. The original dump body joystick in this application had many problems with continued failures from the high cycle use. These joystick failures caused many problems and prevented use of the dump function. The joystick and control system did not provide error feedback or diagnostic information to assist with troubleshooting.

GSNA solves this problem by developing a custom CAN joystick with an ergonomic handle for operator comfort. With the use of a very robust CAN joystick, GSNA increases the amount of diagnostic data the joystick provides to the control system while simplifying the wiring. GSNA also integrates additional handle and transmission inputs into the joystick. A custom mounting plate design ensures backward compatibility to fit the new joystick into the existing mounting holes.
